Neil Young's new video clip

This is a sneak preview of Neil Young's nwe tune, Fork In The Road. Who would have thought a music video of a man holding an apple could be so funny? Who would have thought Neil Young could be so...cute? Is that the right word? I dunno. Just check it out:

  2. At one point in time I would have agreed with you. But now Neil just sounds like a whiney old man. And in more ways than one....I can't stand his high pitched squeal and his constant complaining. Does he actually think that by complaining things will change?

  3. I've been reading a lot lately that hardcore Neil fans are getting irritated with him - they have been waiting for a long, long time for that Archives box set and Blu-Ray collection to come out. But he keeps delaying it, because he's on such a prolific creative roll, and he keeps making more tunes for more new albums which keeps pushing back the archives release.

Also, those fans are annoyed with the new material. So you are not alone in your thinking. I, on the other hand, can wait forever for the Archives. I've heard enough early Neil Young to know everything I care to know about him and about his music. And I still love his new stuff - one of my favourite Neil Young albums is Living With War. "Flags of Freedom" and "Let's Impeach the President" are two of his best songs, ever. I think.

And frankly, "Fork In The Road" is one of his least whiny songs, voice-wise, in a long time. He barely even sounds like himself, or at least he isn't so high-pitched.
